Patricia Sian

Centre Manager

I hold strongly to these beliefs:
• Being an effective educator by making a difference to the life of the children through partnering with parents and community, and working with teachers to enhance the children’s learning.
• Being a lifelong learner who frequently self-reflect, continuously improve and develop my abilities.
Over the years as an early childhood educator, I invested my time in enriching myself by constantly attending training courses to upgrade my skills so as to become an effective teacher and leader in the school. I work alongside with the parents and therapists of children with special needs to achieve their fullest potential. It is always my desire to see my students achieving his / her fullest potential.
I will continue my journey to provide excellent education to the children through a strong and committed team of teachers and supportive parents. The motto: We Grow Together, We Move Together!

Montessori Directress

I have 20 years of experience working with kindergarten and primary school children. The classroom is a dynamic environment and I strive to implement diverse strategies to motivate and encourage children of varied abilities and different personalities. They are given the opportunity to verbalise their ideas and learn to respond positively to others. My focus is on value-based education that fosters communication and critical thinking skills.

Confucius said “I hear I forget, I see I remember, I do I understand. “
I love using crafts, riddles and rhymes, story-telling and music in my lessons. I strongly believe that children who are involved in activity-based learning will absorb better and make learning more effective. These fun activities are a great way to foster creativity and develop fine motor skills too.

Montessori Directress

Prior to discovering the Montessori philosophy and pedagogy, “Education is a natural process carried out by the child and not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.” I embarked on Montessori training and completed my diploma in 2009. The cohesive environment has given me the motivation to stay and grow as a Montessori early childhood directress. Most importantly, the children are my greatest motivation as they present me with daily challenges and learning experiences. Working with them also allows me to give my best and at the same time enable them to realise their potential.

Chinese Teacher

I was a kindergarten teacher in China for 21 years before I moved to Singapore. I taught in the state kindergarten for 16 years and founded a kindergarten for 5 years. I enjoyed creating my own curriculum which was highly received by the parents. I was also a part time dance instructor for children aged 5 to 9 years old, during which I brought the dance group for competitions at different provinces.
With my many years of teaching experience, I continuously strive to engage the children in learning Chinese language in a fun and creative way. Indeed, it is a joy to see students enjoying Chinese language!
